Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness ROMANS 6:16-18.

Getting a promotion is an exciting time for anyone. Many times getting a promotion is all about who you know. Because of Jesus we can have a promotion. We can be promoted from being slaves to sin to being slaves of righteousness.

Now it’s time for us to go to work. We are to present ourselves to God as servants of righteousness. Not just for the day, but for our lives. We are looking forward to another promotion though. We are looking forward to being with Jesus forever. I don’t know what exactly that will be like. But I k ow I can’t wait.

Let’s present ourselves to God. Get ready for work. Get ready for the next step in his plans.
