Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam

One of the Greatest Sentences Ever Written

There have been a lot of memorable lines or sentences. “Four score and seven years ago.” “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” “I have a dream.” Each of these lines are beloved for their richness and historic importance. However, there are some sentences in the Bible which supersede them all.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” ” He is not here, he is risen.” “Go and make disciples.” All of these sentences fill our hearts with joy and hope as they connect us to God. Romans 5:1 is another of those special sentences. It is special because it encapsulates the entirety of the Bible message.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). It is one of the greatest sentences ever written because it acknowledges our weakness through sin while also confessing the sinner’s perfect trust in God’s grace. It is one of the greatest sentences ever written because it describes our relationship with God which has been restored in Christ.

Romans 5:1 is one of the greatest sentences ever written because it is centered on Jesus Christ. I pray that our lives will also be centered around Jesus Christ so that they too may be great. Let us live for Jesus.
